Protecting Intellectual Freedom in Michigan Libraries
All staff, trustees, and directors are invited to join us on Wednesday, March 4th, 2026 at Reese Unity District Library from 11am - 1pm as White Pine Library Cooperative hosts MLA's new program, "MI Right to Read: Protecting Intellectual Freedom in Michigan Libraries."

Event Details: Hear about the latest news on MLA's campaign to protect the right to read in Michigan and what you can do to advance those efforts. Get insight regarding the current public opinion on libraries and censorship across Michigan. Best practices including collection development policies and the role of the Board will be discussed, and time will be allocated for a group activity and a Q&A session at the end.
