Adam Oster, Library of Michigan

Adam Oster is the Community Engagement Librarian for the Library of Michigan. Adam holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Grand Valley State University with a minor in Political Science and Secondary Education Certification. He also has a Master of Library Science degree from Indiana University. Adam’s interests include genealogy and local history research

Tarek Sasy, Michigan State Police

Tarek Sasy is a Dark Web Intelligence Analyst for the Michigan State Police (MSP) - Michigan Cyber Command Center (MC3). Before joining the MC3, Tarek was a  Unit Manager with the Michigan Public Safety Communication Systems (MPSCS) where he oversaw Systems Security and Incident response. He spent 4 years as an Endpoint Detection and Response admin with the Michigan Security Operations Center (MiSOC), he also has over 10 years of experience in project management, server virtualization, systems architecture, and change management. He brings 16 years of public service, including work as a Corrections Officer on the Gang Intelligence Unit and as a reserve deputy with the Ingham County Sheriff’s Office. Tarek has a BA in Social Psychology and MS in Systems Engineering.

Katie Rothley, Northville District Library

Katie Rothley (soon to be Sullivan) is the Marketing and PR Librarian at the Northville District Library in Northville. Katie has been a librarian for over 14 years, starting in adult services and then moving into social media and communications. Katie has presented in person and virtually for many groups and conferences. She regularly uses InDesign and Canva at work, loves scifi and psychology books, and has 3 dogs and 2 cats at home. 

Aaron Spencer, Author of Imagine Dad

Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Aaron is a 33-year-old multi-hyphenated creative. Aaron is a father, author, data engineer, and entrepreneur. Aaron attended Wayne State University, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in 2014 and his MBA in 2019. He also completed a minor in Social Psychology, which sparked his early interest in cognitive empathy and understanding how people perceive and connect with one another.
Outside of his career in technology, he has explored creative and entrepreneurial pursuits that nurtured his imagination and artistic voice, ultimately leading him to become an author. In 2025, Aaron self-published my first children’s book, Imagine Dad, a heartfelt tribute to fatherhood inspired by my relationship with my son. The story celebrates the imperfect yet powerful love between parents and their children.
